There are a number of different areas in the system where it is necessary to print out physical copies of information such as Drug Labels, Daily Audit Reports etc...
Here you will find all of the information you need in order to start printing with your TouchStore systems.
Label Printing
- Supported Hardware
The following is a list of Label Printers our system can support:
- Toshiba TEC B-EV4
- Toshiba TEC B-FV4
- Zebra LP2844
- Zebra GK420
N.B. both Thermal Transfer and Direct Thermal models of the above printers are supported.
- Printing Labels
Drug Labels and Bag Labels can both be printed from the Local Rx Application. In order to print labels, a Label Printer must be setup on the PC in question and the driver (the Windows software that controls the printer) must be correctly configured.
If a new Label Printer is being used or the current one is not setup to print, you will need to tell the system which printer is being used for printing of Labels. You can do this in the Configuration module.

A4 Printing
- Supported Hardware
There are so many different kinds of A4 printers on the market and so many of them have been confirmed to work with TouchStore products that it is safe to assume that you will be able to print out A4 documents e.g. reports to most any A4 printer.
We do have to warn you however that TouchStore can only provide a limited amount of support for these devices and, depending on how familiar we are with the brand of device you are using, we may need to refer you to a Third Party for additional assistance where the issue you are experiencing lies outside our area of expertise.
- Printing A4 documents
There are two different areas of our systems where A4 printing is available:
- Local Rx Application
- 365 Back Office
Local Rx Application
Printing from the Local Rx application, whether you are using TouchStore Rx or Rx 365, can be done through Modules -> Reports or through DataViewer. In both cases our system will look to the Default printer assigned in Windows and try to print to that.
It is recommended that you set your A4 Printer to be the Default Printer in Windows to ensure that the Local Rx Application will be able to print your documents.
If you find that your Daily Audit report is somehow printing on 20 different Drug Labels, then it is quite likely the wrong printer is set as Default.
If you ever need to change your Default Printer please bear in mind that you will need to restart the Local Rx Application. The system only looks at the list of printers during startup and so any changes require a restart.
365 Back Office
When printing from the 365 Back Office, whether you are using Rx 365 or Retail 365, you will be viewing it with Google Chrome. Printing with Google Chrome affords you a lot of different settings and gives you the option to choose which printer you wish to send your documents to.
